Ronnefalk Q2 2nd Fastest and Q3 TQ @ Euros 2013

The 3rd and final round of quali on Thursday saw the fast guys up pretty quickly again after they’re Q2 effort, it was enough time for Kyosho Driver, David Ronnefalk, to hit ‘reset’ on his internal transmitter after his minor Q2 mistake (which saw him slip all the way from 1st to 2nd) – and he TQ’d Q3 under the blazing French sun in style by 4 seconds, Jerome Aigoin had initially set the benchmark pace, but it seems not many drivers can match Ronnefalk for raw speed.

As things stand, Ronnefalk is looking a good bet for TQ with two in the bag and a 2nd place, the day belongs to the 17 year-old Swede, mentored by legend Adrien Bertin and mechanic’d by father Pierre.

The Kyosho MP9 buggy stamped his authority on the first three rounds of qualifying at the 2013 Euros as it TQ’d Q1 &Q3 and took a close 2nd place in Q2, driven by the Swedish youngster, who is no stranger to the Euros limelight having featured heavily at the sharp end in the final last year; pipped during the last minutes however, he spoke of his desire to perform and atone and so he leaves many runners scratching their hands as to where he is finding the speed. From round to round the track changed significantly, not least due to ambient changes in temperature, arguably starting out the fastest in the cool morning, look out for an interview with Ronnefalk soon.
